Caf Approves Congolese Referee for Nigeria-Guinea Cracker

Referee Ndala Jean-Jacques Ngambo from the Democratic Republic of Congo will take centre stage when Nigeria take on Guinea in an Africa Under-17 Championship group stage clash in Niamey on Wednesday.

Ngambo, 27, who has been an international referee since 2013 and has officiated in Caf Champions League games, will be assisted by the duo of Arsenio Chadreque Marengula from Mozambique and Snegalese Serigne Cheikh, who witnessed the Golden Eaglets’ opening win against hosts Niger on Sunday also as an official.

Lazard Tsiba Kamba from Congo is the fourth and reserved referee while Ngenzi Raul Gisanura would be match commissioner.

The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has again approved Nigeria’s traditional green home kit for the match at the Stade General Seyni Kountche. Eaglets’ goalkeepers would wear complete blue colours.

The Guinean players would spot red shirt, yellow short and white socks.

A win for either side would guarantee swift passage into the semi-finals of the tournament and a ticket for the 2015 Fifa Under-17 World Cup in Chile later this year.

Kickoff time: 4:00 pm (Nigerian time)
