Sokoto-State-Governor-Aliyu-WamakkoSokoto State Governor, Alhaji Aliyu Wamakko on Wednesday expressed optimism that Nigeria would soon overcome the security challenges currently bedeviling it.

Wamakko made this known while addressing newsmen in Sokoto.

He, therefore, urged all Nigerians to fervently pray for God’s intervention in the nation’s socio- economic and political affairs.

“We need to pray to God to intervene and flush out all those responsible for the current security situation in the country’’, he said.

The governor also called on Nigerians to be security conscious and report any suspicious characters to the nearest security agencies for prompt action.

“The time has come for all Nigerians to be watchful and vigilant in confronting the present security challenges facing us as a nation”, he said.
