Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam, on Friday rained curses on the opposition, saying, “It will not be well with them”.
Suswam made the remark at the ongoing Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign, which took place in Katsina Ala Local Government Area of the state.
The governor said “some of those who have benefitted immensely from the ruling PDP but for their selfish reason decided to betray the party by moving to opposition party, it will not be well with them”.
While insisting that the ruling party had performed creditably to deserve a re-election, Suswam assured that the party would continue to address the well-being of the masses.
He appealed to the people of the area to remain supportive of the party by voting massively for PDP candidates in the February general elections. “Let us vote for President Goodluck Jonathan to continue with his laudable programmes”, he said.
Suswam, who is the PDP candidate for Benue North-East Senatorial District, further tasked the youth on the need to shun acts of violence but vote massively and protect their votes against manipulation.
“The other people said they will shed blood but we are going to vote and we must go peacefully to vote for all PDP candidates”.
