The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammad Sunusi II, has counselled his subjects on the need to collect their Permanent Voters Card, saying refusing to do so will be disastrous.
The emir, who spoke to journalists in his palace on Tuesday, said this is the only way to get the leader of their choice.
“Your five million population would be a waste without you having your card by your side to elect who you want”, the emir said.
He also called on husbands to allow their wives, children and anybody close to them of voting age, to get their PVCs.
Sunusi II said Islam teaches hard work, which includes getting the voters’ card.
