Flying Eagles To Play Ghana In AYC Semis

Nigeria under-20 national team will face Ghana in the last four of the 2015 African Youth Championship (AYC) in Dakar, Senegal on Wednesday.

The Black Satellites booked their place in the last four after a 1-0 defeat by Mali on Sunday to finish runners-up in Group B on six points, three points adrift of pool winners Mali.

Mali will battle Senegal in the other semi-final match on Thursday. The hosts finished runners-up behind Nigeria in Group A after a dramatic pool finale.

The Flying Eagles defeated Ghana in a warm-up match in Tema and played out a 2-2 draw with the Black Satellites in Accra last month.

Their most recent meeting in the African U-20 Championship came in 2011 in South Africa, where the six-time winners won by a 1-0 scoreline.
