Arjen Robben is sidelined from Holland’s upcoming internationals due to a torn abdominal muscle.
The Bayern Munich forward was substituted in the first half of the German Bundesliga leaders’ 2-0 home defeat by Borussia Monchengladbach on Sunday.
The Dutch football federation (KNVB) has confirmed his absence, saying: “Arjen Robben has informed national coach Guus Hiddink of his withdrawal for the upcoming matches of the Dutch team against Turkey and Spain.
“Hiddink will decide at a later stage if he will call up a replacement for the injured Robben.”
Holland face Turkey in a Euro 2016 qualifying match on Saturday and then hosts Spain in an international friendly four days later.
Bayern revealed on their website after the defeat at the Allianz Arena that Robben would be out for “several weeks.”
