Jordon Ibe To Miss Four Weeks With Injury

Liverpool have suffered an injury setback with the news that Jordon Ibe will miss a month through a knee ligament injury.

The winger damaged his lateral collateral ligament in last week’s Europa League exit at the hands of Besiktas in Istanbul.

Subsequent scans have revealed the 19-year-old, who has been in impressive form since returning from a loan spell at Derby County, will miss the next four weeks.

The good news for the Reds is that captain Steven Gerrard is expected to return from a hamstring injury against either Burnley on Wednesday or Blackburn in the FA Cup next Sunday.

Fellow English midfielder, Jon Flanagan, who has yet to feature in the entire season following knee surgery, has been given the all-clear to return to full training.
