The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Wednesday, slammed the All Progressives Congress (APC) for trying to link President Goodluck Jonathan to Monday’s protest by the members of the Odu’a Peoples Congress (OPC) in Lagos.
The party, in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja, by its national publicity secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, described the allegation as cheap blackmail by the opposition in its bid to discredit the electoral process.
The PDP said it was absurd for anybody to attempt to link Jonathan to disagreements and a protest between rival factions of an organisation such as the OPC, having proven himself to be a peaceful, humble and forthright leader.
The ruling party therefore advised the APC to focus on its dwindling electoral fortunes instead of continuously raising false alarms and unsubstantiated allegations against President Jonathan and the PDP-led Federal Government.
Nigerians shouldn’t forget in a hurry that GEJ held a meeting with the fractional leader of OPC. The dollar meeting was held as a strategy for campaign. Actually this action works with this demostration. Only that I pitty the poor YORUBAs for landing on GEJ’s lies. They should remember he is a National Lier with over 50 lies by him to Nigerians. Beware.
