Pregnant Woman Stabbed In The Stomach And Her Baby Removed While Shopping For Baby Clothes

A pregnant woman was rushed to a hospital after a woman stabbed her in the stomach and cut out her baby, police in Colorado told reporters:

Longmont Police said that officers were called to the 1600 block of Green Place around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, on reports of a stabbing. Officers who arrived at the scene, heard a woman calling for help in a house. The officers entered the house and found the woman who had been beaten and stabbed in the stomach.

The 26-year-old woman was seven months pregnant and her baby had been removed. The victim was transported to the Longmont United Hospital, where he underwent surgery and is expected to recover. Police said that the victim went to the suspect’s home to buy some baby clothes after she found an advertisement on Craigslist.  Officers found the suspect, a 34-year-old woman with a dead baby, at the Longmont United Hospital. She reported a miscarriage.

She was arrested on charges of attempted murder, assault, child abuse and knowingly or recklessly causing death. The suspect and the baby were taken to the hospital by a man. The man believed that the woman suffered a miscarriage.
