Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State on Thursday dedicated his election to the National Assembly as Senator representing Plateau North, to the entire state.
The out-going governor, who is completing his second four year tenure in office, under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, defeated the All Progressives Congress candidate, Eunice Sambo, to the senatorial seat.
Speaking through his Director of Press and Public Affairs, James Mannock, the governor attributed his victory at the polls to the will of God, and called on aggrieved persons to accept the verdict as an act of God.
He also sued for peace among constituents for the sake of the Easter celebrations holding from Friday to Sunday.
“Governor Jang in his Easter message notes that Christians should appreciate God for his faithfulness for sacrificing his only Son for the salvation of mankind.
“He admonishes Christians to continue to promote peaceful coexistence and love towards one another irrespective of affiliations”, Mr. Mannock said in a statement.
