Senegal piped Nigeria to a 2015 Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup ticket after a narrow victory in the semi-final of the Caf Beach Soccer Championship on Saturday.
The winners and runners-up of the ongoing continental championship in Seychelles will represented Africa at the eighth edition of the Beach Soccer World Cup scheduled for Portugal from 9-19 July.
Senegal becomes the first side from Africa to claim their spot in the showpiece, as Nigeria have now been eliminated from the World Cup by the reigning African champions twice.
The Super Sand Eagles led their counterpart 3-2 in the first period, but the Senegalese clawed back to live the tie evenly poised at 3-3 at the end of regulation time.
And with the match heading for penalty shootouts, Senegal scored the winning goal in extra-time to secure their passage into the final showdown of the African Cup.
