Doncaster Release SA Skipper Furman, Ivorian Razak

South Africa captain, Dean Furman, is one of six players released by Doncaster Rovers.

The 26-year-old joined Rovers from Oldham Athletic on a two-year contract in July 2013 after a successful loan spell.

He made a total of 66 appearances for the Football League club, scoring three goals.

Rovers have also released goalkeeper Stephen Bywater, 33, defenders Jamie McCombe, 32 and Reece Wabara, 23, midfielders Abdul Razak, 22, and striker Theo Robinson, 26.

Ivory Coast midfielder Razak signed a short-term contract at the Keepmoat stadium from Greek side OFI Crete but managed just nine league appearances.

The 22-year-old former Manchester City youth player previously had an unsuccessful loan spell with West Ham United in 2014.

Defender Rob Jones, 35, has been offered a new deal.

Winger Kyle Bennett, 24, has also been offered a new deal after scoring eight goals in 50 appearances this season.
