Flying Eagles to Face Bundesliga Youth Teams in Test Matches

Nigeria under-20 national team will tackle three youth teams of German Bundesliga sides in their build up for this month’s World Youth Championship.

The Flying Eagles will play test matches against the u-23 teams of Hoffenheim, Nuremberg and Freiburg, officials have announced.

The Nigerian youth internationals are slated to face Hoffenheim u-23 side on 12 May in Hoffenheim, 3pm local time (4pm Nigerian time).

They will face the u-23 youth setup of Nuremberg at their training ground in SudwestPark in Nuremberg three days later by 4:30pm.

Coach Manu Garba is expected to submit a final 21-man squad for the Fifa under-20 World Cup on 15 May.

The team’s final warm-up match comes up on 19 May against Freiburg. The match, which will be played in Freiburg, is scheduled for 2:30pm.

The team will depart for New Zealand via Australia on 23 May.
