Governor-elect of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, yesterday expressed readiness for the take-off of the new administration in the state after his swearing in on Friday, May 29.
Ambode made this known when he spoke with reporters after meeting with Governor Babatunde Fashola at the last State Security Council meeting of the outgoing government, where both leaders shared security information and strategies.
Speaking after the meeting, Ambode said: “I am ready to hit the ground running. I am ready to go and to also keep Lagos safer”.
He said the meeting also provided him an opportunity to familiarize himself with the security agents he would be working with.
Speaking in the same vein, Fashola told the reporters that the meeting was about sharing security information and strategies with his successor.
He added that the security of the state is very important to the incoming administration and the transition process had been very smooth, pointing out that all the security agencies were well represented at the meeting.
