National Coordinator of Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN), Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah has expressed his heartache at the loss of the March 28 presidential election by President Goodluck Jonathan. However, he said TAN will continue to advocate good governance and support the incoming government.

“You don’t invest and wish that the investment would go the way this one went. The election has come and gone, I would not like to open the old wounds especially when the main actor in the whole episode has conceded defeat. We have to move ahead at this juncture. We must unite to move Nigeria forward. Jonathan has conceded defeat to General Buhari,” he told Vanguard in an interview.

“If you are in a boxing ring, and your coach throws in the towel, that is the end of the game. I have chosen to respect his position and indeed that of Nigerians, even though it would have pleased me greatly to see Jonathan win.”

Ubah said that the association’s primary objective is to advocate for good governance and the transformation of Nigeria.

He vowed that TAN would continue to stand on the legacies of President Jonathan and watch from the stand to see what the President-elect Muhammadu Buhari will offer Nigerians.

Ubah noted that since Buhari has made electoral promises to Nigerians, TAN expects him to keep them.

“I want to however, note that we will support him in every way,” he said.

“If I get to understand General Buhari better than I understand him now, I will be closer to him. If he needs me, I will be there for him. He will be our President. I have always had respect for him. I wish him well. I have an open mind and my doors are always open.”

  2. You are crying now, that your door is open for GMB to talk to you, who are you compare to GMB, stolen money you use to blackmail GMB in the election now … please EFCC is waiting for you,

  3. With a friend like you, one does not need an enemy. We all know you as a fair weather friend and ready to hobnob with any government in power for personal gain. TAN never did anything close to promoting good governance but to promote one individual and galvanize people to vote for GEJ. We are persuaded that TAN did not mean well for Nigeria. It’s an outfit that wanted to deceive Nigerians with all the pseudo- achievement of GEJ, claiming to have gotten outrageous numbers of imaginary signatures of those who endorsed JONATHAN. I wonder why those figures did not translate to votes. Please keep your TAN away…..it is a leprous body and note that it’s no more business as usual.

  4. Sorry man,its possible to invest and liquidate! Since you see your TAN company as investing in a bad business, then, dust yourself up and this time around invest in a masses considered business, but, you can keep your door locked because this new era Nigeria is not going to need your kind of business. CHANGE has come to stay and had left people like you behind.
