President Goodluck Jonathan on May 4, Monday, reportedly held a closed-door meeting with the two renowned clerics, Enoch Adeboye and David Oyedepo.
According to The Punch Jonathan had two separate meetings with the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and the Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide.
Jonathan was said to have arrived at Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos, yesterday afternoon and was taken to the separate venues by helicopter.
Details of both “private” encounters were not disclosed to journalists. Afterwards, the president immediately returned to Abuja, accompanied by several aides.
The news comes weeks before the official handover of power to the president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, and his administration.
Speaking earlier about the outcome of the March 28 polls, Yemi Osinbajo, the vice president-elect and a clergyman, said that Adeboye had predicted that pastors, presidents and vice presidents shall emerge from among members of the church.
