Teacher Arrested For Having ‘Long Term’ Relationship With Her 12-Year-Old Student

A teacher was arrested for having a relationship with her young student.  The 24-year-old school teacher has been accused of having sex with the 12-year-old child and giving him marijuana. Katerina Bardos of Colorado, allegedly had a one year relationship with the young boy, who is half his age. According to police, the two even had sex in a school parking lot. Read more as reported by Scoop:

Investigators said that the relationship began when the boy was in the sixth grade class of Bardos at the Brentwood Middle School. The Brentwood Middle School denied knowing about the relationship, but her contract was not renewed after she became involved with the boy.

After her contract was not renewed, Bardos went to teach at a different school.  Bardos allegedly admitted to supplying marijuana to the 12-year-old boy, but denied any sexual relationship. Police said the when Bardos began teaching at the Frontier Charter School, she allegedly continued the relationship with the child until shortly before her arrest.

Police began an investigation into Bardos after one teacher said that she spotted her driving around town with the young boy in her car and another teacher said that she often exchanged text messages with him. The boy, now 13, told police that he had sex with his teacher more times than he could count. He allegedly spent a night at the teacher’s home.  Bardos faces charges of sexual assault on a child by someone in a position of trust and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
