A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, Chief Sunny Onuesoke has revealed that he shunned attempts from members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to lure him to join them before and also after the general elections when he had known that the APC had taken over power at the centre.

Speaking on the reason for not succumbing to the pressure to join the APC, Onuesoke said: “I am a die-hard member of the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP), and will remain in the party to build it to greater height.”

He disclosed this when addressing Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) youth wing under the aegis of ‘Ighele Urhobo’ led by the National President, Comrade Igho Anthiny Ovie, when they paid him a ‘Thank You’ visit on the role he played in the victory of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa and the PDP in the state governorship election.

Onuesoke therefore advised all members of the party to work together for the party despite losing power at the centre, adding that the party would bounce back in 2019.
