Former member of the Fifa Executive Committee (ExCo), Dr Amos Adamu, has been appointed member of organising committee for the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) by the Confederation of African Football (Caf).
Adamu, a one-time Sole Administrator of the NFA and former director general of the National Sports Commission (NSC), joins current NFF president, Amaju Pinnick, as member of the Afcon organising committee through 2015 and 2017.
This comes on the heels of a three-year Fifa ban on Adamu which expired on 10 October. Adamu was banned after the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa following a petition sent to FIFA by the UK Bid Committee for the 2018 World Cup.
Member of the NFF ExCo and chairman of the NFF Referees Committee, Yusuf Ahmed Fresh, will remain on the Caf Technical and Development Committee, while former NFF 1st Vice President Amanze Uchegbulam keeps his seat on the Appeal Board.

Former Director General of the National Sports Commission, Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye is appointed into the Disciplinary Board, and screen diva Aisha Falode retains her place on the Media Committee.
Former NFF Presidents Dominic Oneya, Sani Lulu Abdullahi and Aminu Maigari are on the Interclub Competitions, Club Licensing System and Organising Committee for the African Nations Championship respectively.
