Following the twin tragedies of flood and explosion that led to loss of several lives in Ghana, new reports has disclosed that a Nigerian student was one of the victims.
Before Adaku Abel’s death, she was a 200 level Business Administration student at the Accra Institute of Technology. She had been declared missing after the flood.
Not knowing she was dead, her friends and fellow students posted several missing person notices on Facebook and Twitter asking the public to help join the search. They had been to all the hospitals in Accra to no avail.
Eventually, they were able to identify her body early hours of yesterday at 37 Military Hospital, Accra. Turns out she was among the 75 burnt to death in the Goil Filling Station disaster.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari had described the incident as painful and regrettable.
May her soul rest in peace.
