Nwofor, Inkoom Join Portuguese Club Boavista

Nigeria international Uche Nwofor has signed a three-year deal with Boavista after seeing out his previous contract at Belgian Legue side SK Lierse.

The Portuguese club have also sealed a deal for Ghana’s Samuel Inkoom on a free transfer.

Nwofor, 23, began his career at VV Venlo and had a loan spell at SV Heerenveen in the 2013-14 season before joining Lierse as a free agent in September 2014.

Reuben Gabriel and Michael Uchebo are other Nigerians on the books of Boavista.

Inkoom, 26, has also penned a three-year contract after leaving MLS club DC United in December.

The 2009 World Youth Championship winner has been capped 46 times by Ghana. He left Ukrainian club Dnipro for the MLS in August 2014.

Inkoom won a League and Cup double in his first season with Swiss club FC Basel, who he joined in 2009.

That was followed with some impressive performances in the Uefa Champions League and Europa League, prompting Dnipro to acquire his services for €10 million in January 2011.

He made 31 appearances for Dnipro before playing the final two years of his contract on loan at French side Bastia and Greek club Plantanias.
