Read The REAL Reason Why Jonathan Conceded Defeat – Tsav

Alhaji Abubakar Tsav, former Lagos state police commissioner, explained why in his opinion the immediate past leader of the country did not deserve to be praised over having conceded defeat.

Speaking with The Tribune, Tsav said that in reality Goodluck Jonathan conceded defeat out of fear of being hunted by the new administration over his “his mismanagement in office”.

“He (president Jonathan) knew that if he dared to cause anything that could have triggered crisis, he knew that he was not safe. As for me, I do not see him as a hero as some people have made him to be.”

The recently appointed commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission also urged the incumbent to learn from Jonathan’s mistakes and not to allow the politicians around him to tarnish his reputations.

Tsav expressed confidence that most of the modern politicians are “self-centered and money-seeking lots”.

“My advise to the president is that he should keep to his words, ‘I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody’. He should not allow those with shady character to mislead him and he should remember that if he fails, he would be the one to bear the brunt.”

Recall that earlier this year, before the presidential election, Tsav mocked GEJ over his claims that Nigerians would miss him only when he left. He characterized the statement as “mere hallucination and wishful thinking”.

After the polls, which brought victory to Buhari, Jonathan conceded defeat before the final results were announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Key figures in the Nigerian and global politics commended the outgoing president for the move noting that he truly ensured democratic elections in the country.

  1. Truly, GEJ is a Hero, irrespective of whatever reason that compelled him to concede defeat. Right now Nigerians are missing him and time will prove him right. Any body can be jealous of his elavated height in the World’s Politics but truth can’t be covered. He’s the Hero in the Political History Of Nigeria.

  2. Mr Tsav if there is a probe of anybody or any govt organ you will be first and you wont escape justice.
you are outdated and i dont know why buhari is appointing outdated people into his govt.
you were very corrupt when you were a public servant as a policeman and you cant measure up to jonayhan’s uprightness and integrity. goddamn tribalist!!!

  3. It is very unfortunate when we hear such inflammatory statement spoken by someone who ought to be an elder statesman. I feel sorry and ashamed for Tsav, his children, his family etc . The DSS should invite him for such unsavory statement. Whether he likes it or not, the youthful GEJ is a hero who has scored so many enviable first-s. Mr Tsav should just go and wait for death to come knocking on his door raththan cause premature death by such silly statement
