Belgium-based forward Moses Simon is likely to start for the Flying Eagles against Germany on Thursday.
Nigeria battle Germany in a clash of continental champions at the ongoing Fifa Under-20 World Cup in Christchurch, New Zealand.
KAA Gent’s Simon made his debut at the 2015 World Youth Championship coming on as a second-half substitute during Nigeria’s 2-0 win over Hungary on Sunday.
The 19-year-old, who won the Belgian championship this season and has been capped once at full international level, has needed further time in training to adapt to the Flying Eagles’ tactics following his late arrival to camp.
He could be called upon by coach Manu Garba to beef up his attacking lineup against a high-powered German side.
At the moment, Simon ‘Daddy’ is expected to be the only change from the starting XI for their two previous matches against Korea DPR and Hungary.
