Jaden Smith, known for his daring, unconventional outfits, is finally explaining his style choice for Kim and Kanye’s wedding a year later.
Jaden Smith definitely created a stir when he shown up at the Kimye wedding last year in a Batman suit.
Now, he is opening up on he chose that particular outfit for not the celebrity wedding of the century, but also for his prom as well.
Jaden explains to GQ that it was a means of “protection saying:
“I wore the Batman suit to heighten my experience at the wedding and prom which was fun, but also at the wedding I felt as though I needed to protect everyone there and needed to have the proper gear to do so.”
Why he felt like he needed protection in a really private wedding ceremony, no one knows, but he also revealed that he has a long history of wearing his Batman suit.
“I remember these duck boots. They were just duck boots, but I would wear the normal Batman suit or my Spider-Man suit with them and never take them off. ”
His style icons include both Batman, the man behind the suit he wore that day, and Kanye,the groom of the wedding!
“My style icons are Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Superman, andKanye West.”
Jaden also styles his everyday wardrobe to feel like a superhero at all times.
“I’m just expressing how I feel inside, which is really no particular way because everyday it changes how I feel about the world and myself, but I like wearing super drapey things so I can feel as though I’m a superhero, but don’t have to necessarily wear superhero costumes everyday.”
