Buhari’s Failure To Appoint SGF, Chief Of Staff “Sacrilegious” – Ondo PDP

PMBThe Peoples Democratic Party Chairman in Ondo State, Mr. Clement Faboyede, on Friday described President Muhammadu Buhari’s failure to appoint a Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Chief of Staff almost two months after he assumed office as sacrilegious.
Faboyede made the remark when he led PDP leaders in the state to pay a courtesy call on the newly installed Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi.
According to the PDP chief, Buhari’s failure to appoint the two key officials demonstrates his lack of adequate preparation to govern the country.
On the state governorship election slated to hold next year, Faboyede said that no fewer than eight aspirants had shown interest in the PDP ticket.
“The selection of our party’s candidate will be through due process; there won’t be imposition of candidate”, he assured.
While congratulating the monarch on his ascension to the throne of Deji of Akure, Faboyede, who is a former Commissioner for Rural Development and Cooperatives in Ondo, said the party would support him in his bid to develop the city.
In his response, Oba Aladelusi, who spoke through the Asamo of Akure, High Chief Rotimi Olusanya, praised the Ondo State Government for executing many developmental projects in the city.
He, however, urged the state government to fix many of the township roads that needed attention.
