CAN Congratulates Muslims On Eid-el-Fitr Celebrations

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has congratulated Muslims in Nigeria and in all parts of the world over the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast.

Secretary General of CAN, Rev. Musa Asake, in an interview with Vanguard, thanked God for the success of the fasting and prayers offered during the period, reminding the Nigerian Muslims that Sallah period is a time to reflect on the benefits of the month long spiritual exercise.

“They should keep the blessings of Ramadan and all that the Quran teaches especially the need for peaceful co-existence with everybody irrepective of creed and ethnicity,” Asake said.

“While we wish the best during this Eid-el-Fitri celebration we pray that they will continue their prayers for an end to the continued terrorist attacks in parts of the country,” he prayed.

Meantime, the Police High Command has put all measures in place to ensure hitch-free celebrations. The Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase has, therefore, ordered effective and extensive deployment of personnel including movement of necessary logistics to all nooks and crannies in the country.
