Odion Ighalo has rejected a bid of £10m by Chinese club Hebei China Fortune.
The Nigeria international has told AfricanFootball.com that the Chinese outfit wanted to sign him this summer, but won’t leave England for Asia a she has a lot of offers back in England and that he is young for such move.
“My club informed me of interest from Chinese team to sign me,” the former Granada forward told AfricanFootball.com. “I will not leave England for China now at my age, I still got a lot to offer here in England.
“My career progress is my priority now and not money. I am sure by his grace I can’t get that money here if I keep doing well.”
He continued: “The interest in me from clubs is goods it is normal when a striker is doing well, it’s as a result of hard work and God’s favour.”
Ighalo scored 20 goals in 39 games to help Watford win promotion to the English top flight.
Swansea are among a host of Premier League clubs who have shown interest in the striker.
