Piers Morgan Pokes Fun At Chelsea After Radamel Falcao Signing

Popular Arsenal fan, Piers Morgan could not help but aim a barb at London rivals, Chelsea following the confirmation of their signing of Colombian striker Radamel Falcao on loan from Monaco.

Chelsea took to social media, Instagram, on Friday to confirm they have recruited the former Atletico Madrid forward on a season-long loan.

The Colombia international is Chelsea’s first signing of the summer and will be reunited with former team-mates Thibaut Courtois and Filipe Luis at Stamford Bridge.

Falcao, 29, managed just four goals in 29 games during a disappointing season-long loan at Manchester United in the 2014-15 campaign following his deadline-day move to Old Trafford.

Chelsea posted the photo below on their Instagram page, accompanied by the following caption:

Speaking to the BBC Sport after the confirmation, Falcao said: “I am very happy to be joining Chelsea and can’t wait to start training.”

He scored 52 times in 68 La Liga matches for Atletico and, even grabbed a hat-trick against the Blues in the 2013 Uefa Super Cup in Monaco, before his move to the principality.

Earlier this week former Daily Mail editor, Morgan, took to social media to accuse Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho of “losing it” after news broke out that Chelsea have agreed to let goalkeeper Petr Cech join Arsenal.

Meanwhile, the Czech goalkeeper has completed his move to the Emirate Stadium on a fee reported to be £10m.
