Traffic Law Breaking First Bank Bullion Van Causes Terrible Accident In Warri [Graphic Photos]

An eyewitness reported the following:

Was at firstbank UDU road branch in Warri today, when suddenly the bank bullion van and police escort was coming on high speed on a wrong lane. Its a double lane road but the bullion van was on the wrong lane with the police avoiding to go and turn a few meters from the bank. Suddenly a tipper that was coming opposite lost control because of the ruff driving of the bullion van, and the tipper trying to pave way for the bullion van lost control and crush a innocent girl’s leg, damaging both legs. Youths from nowhere came and start throwing stones into the bank, before police came and started shooting into the air. My question is this, is the bullion van and the police escort above the law? For them to be driving on a wrong lane, the fuel consumption difference assuming the van went through the right way could not have been up to a liter.

  • This is a challenge to the IGP.The IGP should do his constitutional duty by disciplining Police Officers who encourage bulion van drivers to drive against traffic. In the instant case the driver and the police officers should be sanctioned.First Bank should also take very good care of the victim with adequate compensation.

  • Pls I need an update on how d victims of the accident has bn compensated and the action so far taken on d impunity of d bullion van drivers. Justice monitoring is our concern. Link us to d victims if u can.
