Siasia Selects 4 Foreign Pros, 25 Home-Based Stars For Congo

Coach of the Nigeria Under-23 National Team, Samson Siasia, has named 25 players to prosecute an Africa Under-23 Championship final round, first leg qualifier against Congo in Port-Harcourt on 19 July.

The coach has also announced that the selected players would be joined by four overseas-based professionals, Imoh Ezekiel, Aminu Umar, Sodiq Popoola and Gabriel Abalo ahead of the crucial encounter scheduled to take place at the Adokiye Amiesiemaka stadium.

The head coach of the U-23 national side then released players whose domestic clubs have league matches this weekend and urged them to immediately call back for their national assignment on Monday, while stressing whoever absents his self will automatically be ruled out from the squad.

In the meantime, Dream Team VI delegation to Port Harcourt will be departing Abuja for Port Harcourt on Monday 7th July.
