Manchester United have reached agreement with Southampton for the signing of Morgan Schneiderlin.
The 25-year-old midfielder is having a medical with the Old Trafford outfit ahead of a proposed move reportedly worth not more than £25m.
Schneiderlin could join the first-team squad on their pre-season tour of the United States, pending there are no unforseen issue.
The Frenchman was a target of Tottenham Hotspur last summer and asked out of the Saints’ pre-season after a bid was rejected from the London club.
Schneiderlin, who made 30 appearances for Ronald Koeman’s side last season, joined the Premier League club from Strasbourg in 2008 for £1.2m and has played over 250 games for them in League One, the Championship and the Premier League.
He look set to become the Red Devils’ fourth signing of the summer following the arrival of Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
