Southampton FC have terminated the contract of striker Dani Osvaldo.
The Italian, 29, joined the Premier League club from AS Roma for a club record £15m on a four-year contract in October 2013. He scored just three goals in 14 Premier League games.
He went on loan spells with Italian sides Inter Milan, Juventus and most recently Boca Juniors in Argentina during his stay at St. Mary’s.
He was suspended for a training-ground fight with team-mate Jose Fonte in January 2014 and has not played for the Saints since then.
Italian clubs Bologna and Lazio are reportedly interested in signing Osvaldo.
The Argentina-born striker has been capped 14 times by Italy and scored four goals.
