We’ll Appeal Court Judgment Dismissing Kashamu’s Extradition – FG

Buruji-KashamuThe Federal Government has indicated that it will appeal Wednesday’s judgment of a Federal High Court in Abuja, which dismissed its application for an order to extradite suspected drug baron now Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Prince Buruji Kashamu.

The legal counsel from the Federal Ministry of Justice, who represented the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, the initiator of the extradition proceedings, Mr. Muslim Hassan, confirmed the development after the judgment was delivered on Wednesday.

“We are going to appeal against the judgment as soon as we get the Certified True Copy of the judgment. We have already applied for the CTC of the judgment and hopefully we should be able to file our appeal before the end of the week”, Hassan told PUNCH in a telephone interview.

Ain’t the Fed govt ashamed of themselves, can an American be extradicted from his country top come to Africa and answered to some pending matters just as our govt is looking for all possible ways to extradict Kashamu? This must be bad belle o. May be people who believe they’re influential and has the power since he Kashamu step on their toes are the ones trying to show him. Please Fed govt, don’t disgrace Nigeria, let him concentrate in the House, eejo o.
