Angel Di Maria has completed his transfer from Manchester United to Paris St-Germain, both clubs have confirmed.
The Argentina international arrived at Old Trafford from Real Madrid for a record £59.7m fee in August, 2014.
But after a not-so-impressive performance in the 2014-15 season, which saw him score just three goals and provide 10 assists in 27 Premier League matches, the Red Devils decided to sell him to the French champions for a reported £44.3m fee.
“I am very proud, and can’t wait, to wear the colours of Paris Saint-Germain,” the 27-year-old told PSG’s website.
“I want to win every competition we enter, both in France and Europe. I want o win the Champions League, which is a dream for all footballers, for a second time.
“We will do everything we can to bring Europe’s biggest trophy to France and the fans of Paris Saint-Germain.”
Di Maria has reached double figures for assists in both Spain and England since joining Real Madrid from Benfica in June 2010.
He was named Man of the Match by Uefa as Real Madrid claimed a tenth Champions League crown in Lisbon in May 2014.
