The new Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brig. Gen. Paul Boroh (retd.), has swung into action with the re-organization of the programme with a view to making it more effective and accountable.
To fast track the process, Mr. Boroh has approved the commencement of a biometric verification to determine the actual number of beneficiaries of the programme.
In a statement by his Chief of Staff, Col. Denis Abel (retd.), on Tuesday, the coordinator also issued a directive to the Amnesty Office to prepare the groundwork for the effective payment of the stipends to beneficiaries.
