Buhari Decorates New Service Chiefs, Gives 3 Months Ultimatum To End Boko Haram

PMB-Service ChiefsPresident Muhammadu Buhari has decorated the new service chiefs with their new ranks with a charge to map out strategies to defeat Boko Haram in three months’ time.

Buhari was joined by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the service chiefs’ wives to decorate them with their new ranks.

The service chiefs were appointed on July 13, 2015 with the senate confirming their appointments on August 4.

Buhari also told them that they must be accountable for all men and equipment under their commands.
Those decorated on Thursday at the Presidential Villa are Major-General Abayomi Olonishakin (Chief of Defence Staff), Major-General T.Y. Buratai (Chief of Army Staff), Rear Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas (Chief of Naval Staff) and Air Vice Marshal Sadique Abubakar (Chief of Air Staff).

Speaking on behalf of the service chiefs, Olonishakin promised President Buhari and all Nigerians that they would not let them down.
