Buhari, Tambuwal Commiserate With Borno State Over Deputy Gov’s Death

President Muhammadu Buhari Saturday has commiserated with the family of the late Deputy Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Zannah Umar Mustapha who died in Yola on Saturday.

The president said he received the news of Mustapha’s death with shock.

A statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina said the Buhari on behalf of himself and the Federal Government, extended heartfelt condolences to the late Deputy Governor’s immediate family and his relatives.

Sokoto State Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal also expressed shock at the death of Deputy Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Zannah Umar Mustapha.

In a statement issued in Sokoto, signed by his spokesman, Malam Imam Imam, Tambuwal described the deceased as a committed democrat who worked hard to ensure the return of peace to his dear state in particular and the North East in general.

According to him, Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima has lost a trusted ally and a refined human being who never shied away from giving his best for the people.

He commiserated with the people and government of Borno State and prayed that God should grant the deceased eternal rest and give his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
