Obasanjo Optimistic About Nigeria’s Future Under Buhari

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has expressed optimism that a brighter future awaits the socio-economic and political development of Nigeria under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Obasanjo made the observation on Friday while having a chat with the national leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students who paid him a courtesy call in his hilltop residence in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State.

The former President assured Nigerians of his readiness to continue to work for the success of the country. However, he urged the citizens to play their parts in the Nigerian project, urging them to meaningfully criticize the administration where necessary.

The National Association of Nigerian Students led by its vice President, Mr Oluwatosin Ogunkuade, was in Abeokuta to ask for the continuous leadership quality of the former president in the onerous task of national development.

  1. Obasanjo was praising President Buhari when visited by the group in order not to be probed. In a critical sense and look, the visit to Obasanjo was like inviting more problems and hardship to Nigeria. As far as this country is concerned, he has lost his socio-political value because he is the fountain of corruption that had bedeviled the nation since the year 1999. He has lost all his political value in the country. Therefore, he should not be regarding to be a person with a good reputation.
