The traditional ruler, who spoke for the first time on the controversial demise of the foremost monarch, noted that the Oro festival is the final rite of passage for the Ooni, stating that the final pronouncement of the demise of Ooni has been fixed for Wednesday between the hours of 9am and 4pm.
The Ife traditional council had several denied the demise of the Oba. However, it was reported that the Oba’s death had not been officially announced before now because Isoro cult members, who were carrying out necessary rites on the late monarch, were yet to give their nod that the death be made public.
