The North Is Encouraging The Rise Of Biafra – Uko

MASSOB

Deputy Secretary of the Igbo Leaders of Thought (ILT), Evangelist Elliot Uko, has berated Second Republic lawmaker, Dr. Junaid Mohammed, over his advise to the Igbo to declare for Republic of Biafra if they are aggrieved over President Muhammadu Buhari’s appointments.

In a reply to former Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuemeka Ezeife, who said the Igbo had not been treated fairly in terms of political positions and appointments in the President Buhari administration, Mohammed had said: “I don’t believe Buhari or Nigeria owes any Igbo anything. I don’t care what Ezeife says – if they (Igbo) had seceded, there would have been no Nigeria today. As people who acted outside the interest of Nigeria as a country, to expect compensation is a very odd logic.

“If the Igbo don’t like it, they can attempt secession again. If they do, they must be prepared to live with the consequences – nobody owes them anything and nobody is out to compensate them for anything,” he said.

Apparently miffed by Mohammed’s comment, Uko, who is also the President of Igbo Youth Movement (IYM), said: “This statement confirms to the international community that the new administration could march along a very divisive path with the support of some persons in the North. That is some people have sworn that equity and justice will not reign in Nigeria.

“In other words, actions that lead to disenchantment among Nigerians to the extent of making secession an attractive option to certain sections is actually deliberate and encouraged by the North. I am sure the international community has taken note of that,” he said.

“The man does not deserve to be replied. He is consistently working very hard to destroy Nigeria by denigrating, abusing and overtly provoking Nigerians in order to prepare the ground for another civil war.

“Whether it is a deliberate policy of the North we don’t know, whether he will succeed or not in his quite spirited effort to make sure Nigeria does not survive, nobody knows,” Uko said.

Speaking further, on why the ILT insists that President Buhari should extend the anti-graft probe to 1999, Uko said: “Everybody agrees, those who stole public funds must return same. Nigerians also want them shamed and punished, but the narrative that corruption began somewhere after 2009 is patently false.

“Mr. President has unwittingly given the wrong impression, that he is afraid of General Olusegun Obasanjo, when that could not be the case. Mr. Femi Adeshina (Presidency spokesman) could have told the world the Federal Government would begin with the last regime but will also probe other regimes since 1999.

“Adesina carefully avoided saying that. He told the world the federal government will only probe the Jonathan regime. The operative word here is ‘only.’ That immediately gave room to small talk in gatherings all over the land, that there could be more to it.

“The lame excuse that going back beyond Jonathan’s regime will be a distraction actually amuses Nigerians, who remember with horror the brigandage of 1999-2007, the impunity of the era.

“It is funny to expect Nigerians to believe that the support and hard work Gen. Obasanjo gave towards the emergence of the new government is not directly affecting the selective nature of the probe exercise. Nigerians are all agreed that a purge is needful and corruption frontally attacked, but are split on the issue of singling out only the Jonathan regime for probe.”

  1. The Igbos should go to hell. The corruption in Jonathan’s regime causes more killings than any other, and it was planned.
Igbos should break away! To hell with them. Bunch of hypocrites and haters of truth

    • Abudulganiyu or what ? See the kind of name your useless Muslim parents gave to you. Just how can you think? Am not sure you have a Nigerian passport. By the way how did you get access to the internet, poor dirty beast. Shameless Boko Harams, you guys ate under curses to kill yourselves to extermination point. To God be the glory!

    • Yes, I am with you on that. For the fact that they always say the Nigerian entity can not survive without them, make me to encourage them dissociate from Nigeria, and let’s see if Nigeria would not go to greater heights. The Igbo people forgot that no part is greater than the whole. They are greedy, selfish, self centered, most tribalistic tribe in Africa. Make an Igbo man the director of Wema bank Plc, the whole personel in that bank would change to wholly Igbo descendants, just for example.

  2. If my memory serves me right, there are 5 Northern Muslims Pass Presidents killed either by you Igbos or with your 100% support and cornives. Your pass and present antecedent especially during Presidential election shows that, you Igbos will always be interested in ushering for the destruction and destabilization of Nigeria. So,Junaid was right, its rather strange that you want to rift where you never sour. As you sour,So shall you rift, remember?

  3. The change APC clamoured for about three months ago was to challange the Igbos First, to go and get drown in Lagos lagoon, second to try secession again and face the consequencies. They should be reminded that Igbos are known for their determination to be independent and succeed. Igbos as Igbos never depended on government for anything. It is only in Igbo Land that an individual will get up, build hospitals, schools, street lights and even bulid roads for the community. At all endeavours of life, they have shown glaring qualities on any thing they lay their hands on. Think of the Emeagwali’s, Achebe, Chimanda, Okonjo Iwuala, Late Dora Akunyili.
During the civil war, Nigeria government have to go on their knees to beg Britain, Egypt and co before they could defeat Biafra. and it took them three years to do so. At the heat of the war, coupled with starvation and diseases, igbos still produced weapons (ogbunigwe) they used to kill federal troops in their hundreds. Igbos never engaged in fight and run battle like niger-delta militants and Boko haram did. They went for open confrontation. Even after the civil war, the Igbos were thrown to an untold hardship by Nigerian Government. When the Dantats and co were getting loans to start bussiness, Igbos, no matter the amount you had in bank before the war, were given twenty pounds to start life all over again. their houses in other parts of Nigeria were seized and conviscated. But today, where are we. it is only in Igbo land that you will go to any family atleast get a graduate. They talk of poverty, among the three major tribes, who has the greater percentage of poverty. Death rate, they have the greater part of it. As they are cheating on us politically, Nature is bombading them with variouse type of diseases. Politically, they are subduing us inturn Nature is heating them hard as almajiris have come to remain in Northern Nigeria.
Before you laugh at us as political under dogs, weigh yourselves. I am a proud Igbo. I am proud of being Igbo

  4. Look at Adbulganiyu or whatever u call urself, Nigeria is afraid of what will happen to her if we seperate, but to God be d glory, we are not afraid of being alone but, Nigeria should mind herself, where in d world has what d Biafrans are doing happens. We set goals and others follows, what has d hausa contributed to Nigeria to start with, we are independent of ourselves, if not Igbos, nigerians must have died of hunger. To hell with Nigeria and herleaders, long live the republic of Biafra.

  5. U are an idiot for saying that igbos should go to hell, wait and see what will happen,by the time we stand to say its time for Biafra, both dogs and chickens in nigeria will die including u all that hate Biafrans

  6. One can only understand the huddle of corruption that is Nigeria by taking account of the fact that from its roots it was less a country and more a loose contract of three nations of people. The corruption that exists is a case of tragedy of the commons as there is not one single group of people in Nigeria that takes the country seriously. Openly or privately, all of the three major groups of people would rather have their own sovereign nation-state. Why keep up the charade, do you think that truth can come out of perpetually lying to yourself? Independence for Biafra!

  7. Am a Biafran, not just a Biafran but hard-core.if you hate what i said,go and hug an electric pole and die.God knows the reason why he gave Biafrans knowlegde and allow the hausas/fulanis,yorubas to rule us.to me,i have no reason to question God.but he has already signed Biafra so lets take it in good faith.when u like it or not Biafra must emergy.so is better you join hands and contribute towards getting Biafra.and claim to your children you were among those that brought Biafra and take the glory be wise.

  8. ILT and IYW is a Lamentationist. Is that the best thing to do? Instead of them supporting Nnamdi Kalu, they are busy grumbling on what does not belong to them. Nigeria is not Biafra. Nigerian cannot be Biafran as Biafran cannot be Nigerian. whether Biafran Like it or not, let them continue forcing themselves on Nigeria, we will never and can never be nigeria.

    On Biafra we stand.
    On Biafra we believe.

It is not matter of north saying we are not owed. The truth is that, with the consolidation of the effort of Nnamdi Kalu IPOB, MASSOB, BZM, BILIE,MOSOP, NDVF and other Nationalists who takes the measure of peace we can succeed in actualization of Biafra.

If all our bigwigs, the elites etc can understand that we are not nigerian, the earlier the begin to support and openly confess their support for Biafra and begin to seek the face of International Community and UN for our freedom. Holding nigerian by their utterances will also go a long way.

I don’t support war. With rallies and peaceful protest across the Biafra land these can attract the audience like International Community and UN’s intervention.

    Lets not be intimidated
Lets not be once beat twice shy

We also must not neglect our self defense as an entity/Nation (Country)

  9. Long Live Federal Republic of Biafra.

If our fathers could not achieve Biafra we can.

My father lived not in Zinked house, I am living in one today.

My father has no motorcycle, but I have.

My father never attended high institution, but I do.

My father was computer illiterate but I am not.

My father never travel the far I have today.

The enemies of Biafra must know that the beautiful ones are not yet born.
Benjamin Onwuka, Nnamdi Kalu and MASSOB etc are not the beautiful ones.

As an Evangelist the scriptures is always my consolation, especially when I remember how much the Israelis suffered in the Egypt.
Yet they later gain their freedom through God’s help.

    To God be the glory.

  10. SOM BODY WIT DEEP UNDASTANDIN SHUD REASON DS: If d ibos r saboturers, betrayers, wicked pple, law breaker, y dos Nigeria afraid 2 let dem go. 11. I agree to what my people are saying. Y are nigerians afraid? They supposed to allow us to settle in our own land becos biafra is place to be. Y did the american govt refuse to apologize to biafra and support 4 our independent or y did britain and france govts refuses 2 fight 4 the sovereign state of biafra.
