Buhari Writes Senate, Seeks Approval For $200m World Bank Loan for Lagos

President Muhammadu Buhari has forwarded a letter to the Senate requesting its approval to obtain a total of US$200 million World Bank loan to Lagos State.

The letter was read to the Senators on resumption of plenary on Tuesday by Senate President Bukola Saraki.

President Buhari also wrote the Senate president for the approval of the Senate for the confirmation of Babatunde Fowler as the Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS) and Ahmed Lawan Kuru, for Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).

Other nominees for the same position were Kola Ayeye, Eberechukwu Uneze and Aminu Ismael.

Also, Prof. Garba Danbata was also nominated as the Chairman of Nigeria Communications Commission.
