Hassan Dankwambo

The Gombe State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has denounced rumours making the rounds that the state governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo may dump the party for All Progressives Congress (APC).

The state PDP Secretary Alhaji Buba Shanu, stated this, yesterday, in Gombe.

While describing the rumour as untrue, unfounded and a mischief from political opponents, Shanu added that “Even when you weigh the rumour, it has no basis because Dankwambo is not looking for platform to contest for any political office.

“He has already contested and won Gombe State governorship election under the platform of the PDP and is now working hard for the electorates. If he goes to the APC, what is he going to do? You can’t match APC with PDP. In fact, I don’t see APC as a strong Party, I only see the APC as a party of losers, an assembly of people who emerged from different parties”.

He maintained that the PDP is the most organised party in Nigeria, appealing to the people to stop spreading false rumours.
