EX-NSA SAMBO DASUKI IN COURT ON TUESDAY

The Federal Government on Tuesday arraigned the immediate past National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd), before a Federal High Court in Abuja on one count of possession of firearms without license.

Following his not guilty plea to the charge, which was said to violate provisions of 27(1)(a)(i) of the Firearms Act, Cap F28, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 Justice Adeniyi Ademola granted the ex-NSA bail on self-recognition.

In a short ruling on his bail application, which was not opposed by the prosecution, Justice Ademola ordered that Dasuki should deposit his diplomatic passport and other traveling documents to the Deputy Registrar, Litigation, of the court, as the only condition for the bail.

Justice Ademola also ordered that the accused’s traveling documents, which might be currently in the custody of any government agency, should be retrieved and deposited with the court.

The judge, thereafter, adjourned till October 26 and 27 for trial.

  • How are the Mighty fallen! I hope all those governors who are arrogantly collecting federal allocation, state allocation, local government allocation, Judges salaries, IGR etc. and yet claim there is no money to distrbute for payment of workers’ salaries, pensions, gratuities and withholding dividends of democracy are watching! They forget that Buhari and Osinbajo are pensioners. Continue. One day monkey go go market and he no go return. A word is enough for the wise.
