Why do we talk about MBGLASU2015 with such passion?
MBGLASU2015 is the pride of all Lasuites, organized by Lasuites, for Lasuites.
Balogun Sewedor @ThebigTobbie onTwitter expressed in anticipation of the event said “last year MBGLASU was awesome, it marked the reawakening of great entertainment in LASU”.
Also, a one of a kind social event that truly celebrates and appreciates the innate capabilities of the students which differs from the “dark” images the University is known for.
The second edition of the pageant tagged #BEAUTYWITHAPURPOSE is channeled to champion a beauty queen that would rise against “ABUSE OF GIRL CHILD, AIDS, CULTISM AND RE-AWAKENING SOCIAL LIFESTYLE ON CAMPUS”.
The maiden edition held December 4, 2014 was described by the Vice Chancellor as “the best social event in the history of LASU”. After 10 months reign as a queen, the winner Queen Idowu Oluwatomisin was the only University Queen that got nominated in the Nigeria Most Outstanding Beauty Queen 14/15 category at the Nigeria’s GoodWill Ambassadors Award in Abuja for December 4, 2015. She successfully organized two community projects including Say No To Rape/Campaign Against Indecency and Project Cloth the Slum (Makoko).
The MBGLASU 2015 (Meet the Contestants Party comes up on the 24th of Oct, 2015 at Club Rumors, Festac Lagos with main event on Tuesday 27th October, 2015 at the LASU Main Auditorium, Ojo. Performances by CDQ, Small Doctor, Jahbless, Cayana, Elvis Grey, Bidemi Sax, Jiron, etc.
