Boko Haram: Cab Operators Warns Govt Over Airport Security

The Airport Car Hire Association of Nigeria (ACHAN) has warned that the government should be wary of illegal cab operators as Boko Haram terrorists could bomb airports using illegal operates

Daily Post reports that ACHAN said this during the weekend that passengers and airport facilities were at risk and claimed that 98 per cent of missing passengers’ cases was linked to the activities of unregistered cab operators in the airport.

Chief Stanley Worlu Dike, the president of the association urged the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) to take the warning serious and act on it.

Dike said the association was providing job opportunities for Nigerians and urged the airport authority to provide office spaces for ACHAN.

Alhaji Muili Yinusa who is the chairman, board of trustees of ACHAN claimed unregistered cab operators were allowed to operate at the military location at the General Aviation Terminal 1 in Lagos

“A lot of illegal operate from the military location at the GAT and when they steal passengers’ luggage or property, the victims run down to look for the Chairman of ACHAN”.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian army warned Nigerian to be vigilant especially as Christmas approaches as Boko Haram terrorists might want to take advantage of the celebration to strike.
