A blast has occurred at Kasuwan Gwari along Jimeta bye-pass close to Tipper park, Jambutu, Yola, the Adamawa State capital, believed to have been an improvised Explosive Device (IED) detonated by suspected Boko Haram members.
According to Vanguard, an eyewitness, said the explosion occurred close to the main vegetable market in the town, as traders were closing for the day and rushing home. He added that scores were feared killed.
Although security operatives are reported to have barricaded the area, no official casualty figure has been released yet.
