Buhari To Embark On Another Visit To South Africa This Week

Buhari-TravelPresident Muhammadu Buhari will visit Johannesburg, South Africa, this week for the forum on China-Africa co-operation.

The president had yesterday left Malta for Paris, where he will present Nigeria’s statement at the United Nations Climate Change Conference, scheduled to begin in the French capital today.

Sunday Times, a South African newspaper, reported yesterday that the China-Africa forum would provide robust discussions on trade.

It also reported that the forum would be a perfect opportunity for sensitive diplomatic discussions between South Africa and Nigeria over the $5.2billion fine the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) imposed on MTN Nigeria.

The report quoted informed sources as saying that President Buhari would meet with President Jacob Zuma of South Africa on the sidelines of the forum.
