The Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade 1, is dead.
The monarch died at about 7.30pm on Tuesday at his palace in the Monatan area of Ibadan. He was aged 101.
His remains have since been deposited at the University College Hospital (UCH).
The royal father ascended the throne in 2007 after the death of Oba Yunusa Ogundipe, Arapasowu 1. He climbed about 22 steps for 30 years, before he became the Olubadan of Ibadan, starting from 1973 when he became the Jagun of Ibadan.
