A turtle statue made from 66,000 grams of rice was created in China to help bring good luck to visitors in the new year.

The turtle, constructed from plastic and nearly 1,000 bags of rice in Xiamen, Fujian Province, measures 38 feet long, 25 feet wide and 5.2 feet tall.

The sculpture was designed to weigh 66,000 grams because the number 6 is considered lucky in Chinese culture.

The turtle was created to bring residents luck in the new year and inspire food donations to the needy.
