Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II at a press conference in Kano yesterday February 29th, told his own side of the story. Sanusi said he was against the marriage as the girl was still young and that it was against Islam’s teaching for a young girl like that to take such a decision. He said;
“Since September last year, the district head of Kura came to palace with a young girl of about 15 years, alongside with somebody from the area, whom we were told was married to him after she was converted to Islam.
I ordered for her immediate repatriation to her parents who were said to be in Bayelsa state. I ordered the Kano State Shariah commission to liaise with the assistant inspector general (AIG) zone 1 to assist in taking her back to her parents in Bayelsa, through the AIG who oversees Bayelsa axis, for her safety. In Islam, she has no right to just go ahead and decide things for herself. She is still young. She is not matured enough. And there is nowhere in Islam where such young girls can just make up their mind and give their hands in marriage just like that. It is not permitted in Islam. That is why we said she must be taken back to her parents. To my utter surprise, since from the time we ordered that the girl be taken to her parents in Bayelsa through AIG Zone 1 office, we didn’t hear anything about her. Just for us to now start hearing all kinds of stories that we are keeping her in our custody. This is injustice of the highest order.” Sanusi said when he learned that she came back to Kano after she was repatriated during the first encounter, he insisted that she must be taken back to her parents in Bayelsa. I am therefore giving an order that an investigation should immediately commence with the AIG office to know the position of things since that time we ordered for her repatriation to her parents. We cannot in anyway be more Muslims than the Prophet of Islam Muhammad, Peace Be Upon Him. We must therefore do things according to the set rules and regulations governing our religion.”he said

My questions are: (1) How come the District Head of Kura came to the Palace WITH the girl & the person she was supposedly married to? We are NOT fools! What’s the connection with the Palace? The story suggests that it was (probably?) a regular thing for such “couples” to be taken to the Palace? And, is SIMPLY SAYING THAT THE GIRL SHOULD BE RETURNED TO HER STATE, “ALL” THAT THE EMIR DECIDED TO DO? What’s the connection of the District Head? Is such a thing a ROUTINE exercise? And, suppose the girl WAS NOT underaged? Would they have also taken her to the Palace? And for what reason? And, being a minor, and taken to the Palace, what does that mean? To get the “blessing” of the Emir, or what? Is the District Head so “illiterate” as not to know the ABSURDITY of what he was doing? Sounds like it was (PROBABLY) a REGULAR thing to take “such couples” to the Palace? Hmm! (2) Is the Emir now the Head of the Nigeria Police, to “order” the AIG to make an investigation into the matter? NONSENSE! Some people need to be told that Nigeria is NOT a theocracy, and DEFINITELY NOT an Islamic theocracy! Nonsense!
All these stories are lies, I can’t imagine somebody that calls himself an emir mixed up in such degrading matter. If it’s vice versa, you’ll see muslims killing christians, they will not talk or abuse on facebook.. This girl was hypnotized, charmed, abducted, married and forced into islam. He ordered, did he check if his order was carried out or not. God will punish everyone of you that has hand in this wicked act and your children must surely partake in what you people did to this girl. Every Bayelsan, Christians should rise up against this inhuman wicked act, assuming its a Christian Nigeria will be on fire by now. 2012 a christian boy playfully touched an hausa girl in samia boka, the boy’s two brothers were killed infront of their house the next day. You don’t touch there’s but another’s can be rubbished. You people will face the wrath of God, every one of you. PRETENDERS!!!
